・About the exhibition

This exhibition is a retrospective of M.B. Goffstein's entire oeuvre in 100 paintings. The pictures were selected by Mika Sasaki, director of the Tonkachi Goffstein series. The 100 scenes, framed in various sizes, cover the entire gallery and create a picture book labyrinth. In addition, a famous scene from BROOKIE AND HER LAMB will be sculpted as a figure and shown for the first time in a completely limited edition. A shop and gallery in one, this is a special project that is a little different from the usual.

*All exhibited works are available for purchase. The artworks will be handed over after the exhibition.

・About Goffstein

Marilyn Brooke Goffstein was born on 20 December 1940 in St Paul, Minnesota, graduated from Bennington College in 1962, and in 1966 published her first picture book, The Gats! was published in 1966. Since then, she has worked as a writer and artist, winning numerous awards. She died on 20 December 2017, her 77th birthday.
